If you are inetersted in making a donation of any amount please do not hesitate. It does not have to be a large sum of money in order to make a difference in someones life.
As an example from my work in Tanzania the cost to pay the school fees for one student is $100.00 USD but if individulas are only able to donate $10.00 i merely take that money and add it to money received from other donations and before you know it a child that before had little to no opportunity to attend school at all, now can get and education.
The cost to sponsor an orpan age 3-5 covering school fees, housing, food, medical needs books and uniforms $500.00 USD for an entire year
The cost of a baby chicken is $1.00 and after 8 weeks the widows living with HIV will sell that chicken at the market for about $24.00 an then take the profit to pay house rent of $10.00 per month rice for her children and with the rest buy more baby chickens and make an even greater profit and someday hopefully be able to help sustain others that are in the same dilema as she was previously.
These are just a few examples of items i try to assist with when i go to volunteer. So now as you may have a better understanding that every $1.00 counts because i put it with other dollars and eventually it makes a big difference in a perons life.
Also it should be noted that i pay for all my expenses, not one single penney of donated money comes to me, 100% of it goes to the people i am trying to help. So rest assured that i am not getting rich or making a profit by doing this in fact i am as poor as some of the poeople i am attempting to help because i give over 50% of my income to these projects.
